Everyone has been asking about those two cool bars we went to, the jail bar and the science bar. I didn't take any photos while I was there, but I "borrowed" these from other sites so you could see.



This is Alibi, the bar at the Liberty Hotel that used to be a jail. Here is the actual bar part, this room used to be the drunk tank. You can see they kept the cell doors in place, on the other side of the cell doors is the bar part, this photo shows the lounge-y area.



You can see they pretty much kept the whole jail layout. And since I am obsessed with jails, this was so cool to me.



The one above is Miracle of Science. You can see the lab tables and stools, and the menu is a periodic table, chalked right on the chalkboard on the wall.

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out the layout on here, so bear with me!

The bar in my neighborhood that I went to is Bull McCabe's. It is so tiny that I couldn't find any photos online, so I will take my own. I'm not too keen on that bar, I was the only one in the entire place, $5 Newcastle draft and Two and a Half Men on the flat screens.

Need to find a better spot!

That is the front of my house. My apartment is the first one right there on the bottom floor with all the windows.




That's the view from my smoking porch.

It is hard to take photos of my place, because it is so small. But here are some videos. The place is still a wreck as I haven't unpacked everything yet, but at least you can sort of see what it looks like. The above video is the bedroom. I'm not quite sure if it is supposed to be a bedroom or a living room, but that's just how it is going to be right now.




That is the kitchen. Very tiny. Good thing I don't know how to cook, and have no desire to do so.




That is the living room. Very small, but I am happy with it!

First Post

We finally made it to Boston, and this is Mogwai watching doggie TV. She is very excited, as she was unable to do this in Dallas.

We drove straight through, it took around 36 hours. None of us slept, and it was really brutal, but we've been having a lot of fun since we got here.

Last night, my cousin Meg took us to Miracle of Science, an MIT science bar. The tables were lab tables, the chairs were lab chairs, and the menu was a periodic table. It was really interesting, and the food was surprisingly good.

Then we went over to the Liberty Hotel. It used to be the city jail until about 10 years ago it was closed for human rights violations. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The cells were still there, there were still bars on the windows -- I'm obsessed with jails, so for me it was fantastic!

Right now we are waiting for the cable guy, and trying to figure out how to get to the grocery store.
